Dude, we still don't know how to play...
Nov. 19th, 2004 08:50 pmAck! It's definately summer... first fire of the season, and of course, the metro area is full of smoke... Of course, there's no way to find out what happened, since I got home too late for the news, and news services in this country, on the weekend? Hah!
But on the plus side, we're finally rid of Dynix! Big Bossman has embarked on a round of chucking old stuff and updating it, and buying new furniture so it doesn't look like we're the Department's House of Busted Up Junk That Don't Nobody Want No More. We've already chucked some old tables, the two non-working printers (one was the ancient giant dot-matrix), and the old microfiche reader-printer (luckily another branch gave us a much newer laser-printer version, the clarity and zoom are to die for). Anyways, without our own Boss, we didn't know what was happening with the old Dynix dumbterminals. She got back today, and she says go, chuck, away with them! :D After four years, finally our desks are clear of these ancient greenscreens (WYSE 50s, bought at least 12 years ago - a rep from the Dynix company once told me that the Dept must have bought them when he was telling his customers to upgrade from them....)
So anyways, now it's the weekend, and nothing to do but watch new dvd (found a copy of Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey... Station! :D), and get in a bit of high literature ;) *has new Exiles and Fray trade paperbacks... I sure hope the comic store had more than one copy... ;)), in between wondering what that noise on the roof is (crows on the perspex shadecover) or that silence is out the back (stray cat nosing round)
( This cut has nothing to do with The Days of Future Past )
