May. 4th, 2005 11:38 pmWell, short day today. I mean, the day itself was normal-length, but I was asleep for most of it. Woke up at normal time, but wasn't feeling exactly stellar, so went back to bed. Apart from a couple of minutes here and there, I was out until almost lunchtime. Eat lunch, read a bit, repeat. I think I was right yesterday when I felt myself getting more and more tired, and feeling that I needed more sleep...
There was a nice surprise waiting for me though. One of the times I woke up I looked out the window and saw a box left outside by the door. Once I got up I saw it wasn't a dream, it was my delivery from Amazon, once again a day earlier than predicted. This time it was the Shock Treatment soundtrack, and a couple of books recommended to me (by whom, I wonder ;)) - Seven Seasons of Buffy and Five Seasons of Angel essay collections - not available in this country, so have to be ordered in, and even with shipping it still works out cheaper than ordering through a local bookstore.
Well, back to it tomorrow. Part of me hopes that this will be a day *without* any more requests coming in - I'm not in a real dealing-with-people mood (I mean more than usual). The other day was just silly, the amount of time it took to get one interal envelope filled addressed and out thanks to more people coming up.
And if you want people to freak, try going against social programming and say you're sick when they ask "How are you today?" Meh. Small talk. Never got it. Must have been handed out with morning-perkiness. Being without which is *not* a crime.
