City of the Bat, Cat, and Fish

I had a thought about that Batman Begins ad I posted three weeks ago. Perhaps they did these ads for cities with something similarly named to (movie)Gotham. In this case, the Narrows being the common point - Perth's Narrows being where the current freeway bridge is (also one of the first ferry services in the colony), Gotham's being the point where the League of Shadows started up their new toy, and some bridge-jumping took place. Wonder how many other citys have their Narrows or Crime Alley or...

Or that stray thought was one thought too many.

Now, some fun with translations - we did this a couple of times in the lounges; tis funny, and tis borrowed from ozreison this time round:

The Babel Journal

1. Take the first sentence of your last post.
2. Go to Babelfish and translate it from English to Portuguese.
3. Translate that result from Portuguese to French.
4. Translate that from French to Dutch.
5. Translate the Dutch into English.
6. Post the first and last translations into your journal and amaze and confuse your friends!

First line:
Not just one quiz, but a whole mess of quizzes! (yes, it's "mess of quizzes", just like ninjas)
Translated:
Not only quiz, but a mess entirely of quizzes! (yes, is it "mess of quizzes", only eats ninjas)
