Tram between Earth and Cyberia...
Aug. 19th, 2005 10:51 pmSo, I've done it, I've gone and ordered a new computer. I'll be picking it up on Wednesday afternoon - flat screen and dvd burner, and of course the shiny newness. :)
This weekend will be full of new-cd burning to transfer everything over - lucky I've got the burner in this computer! I had thought of getting one of those pocket drives, but Dick Smith Electronics was sold out, and by the time I got to the Tandy round the corner and down the block, they'd closed! Guess the Tourism Precinct late-night-shopping in the city centre isn't enough of an incentive for them to stay open.
Played around a bit with Google Earth today (won't say where I did this though ) Google Earth's pics were taken on a Thursday - I could tell because the bins on my street were still out  Interesting that there should be more labels on landforms than towns (unless there's a control I missed) - I had to find Beverley by following the Avon River from the Swan...
And note to the Premier - we get it, you love trains! Hows about spending some of that money on the existing bus fleet which will still be needed to get people to your pride-and-joys before spending up on things like an entirely new tram network to add to the Thornlie Spur and Mandurah Line (is not just saying this because the preliminary notes say they'd have three times as many people as the busses...*shudder*
And because it's been a while since I've posted one of these (and the main meme going around the FL right now it somewhat useless to me):
