I saw this article on page three of today's West Australian - I wonder why it caught my eye?

Best. Language Change. Ever. )

It's an article on how linguists are saying one of the biggest influences on current English usage is -*drumroll*- The Simpsons.

Although I must say, about the picture's caption: [Ralph voice] "That is so-o 1991." (although not as much as "Don't have a cow" would've been.)

I'm now in my role of teacher, and explaining interlibrary loans (the first bit) to our work experiencer probably packed two days of talking into two-three hours - I'm sure I was meant to be a telepath, vocalising is too much bother. The people know S is away... *watches emails flood in* I've got a new response to technical questions though - from *random clicking* to "Reformat! Wipe the whole thing and start again!" (after the third month of a coworker's spyware woes).

Which Member of the Batclan am I? )
