Things and comics past
Nov. 4th, 2005 10:04 pmHee... overload! Of comics that is! The new shipment was in today, and much sooner than expected - the first of the Excalibur trades. Add in the new Twisted Toyfare Theatre and a couple of others, and I'm wishing I'd asked bosslady for Monday off  This weekend has been a long time in coming...
Amazing the things that can be discovered just flicking through stuff crossing the desk. A flick through a new set of road maps we "inherited" (ie, someone put it in the mail with no note, so it found its way to us), and I found the name of a place I used to go as a kid. Bulgin Rock, one big outcropping hunk of granite out near Meckering. Stand on top, look at the pools and the frogs, and then look outward and see clear away to York.
I should see if I can find it on Google Earth when I go in on Monday (dialup vs broadband, guess which computer got GE). Last time I used it, I saw that my old house was finally bulldozed a couple of years ago - the image for that block just had everything wiped out there. We were meant to be the last tenants, but it didn't work out that way. Shame they had to bulldoze the entire block, though - the trees were nice and big, and I'd think that with just a little work on the paving the garage and everything else in the backyard (the garage was in the back corner with the driveway leading up the hill to it) could've remained intact.
( And now, return to the state of memery... )
