Spring cleaning
Nov. 14th, 2005 08:26 pmWell, I've been mentioning the appearance of Christmas decorations out and about. The City's decorations (well, as much as they can given that much of Murray St Mall is un-usable since they knocked the old Boans building down) have been up for a couple of weeks, but they said on the news how Friday night was the official turning-on of the decorations. Big party for the kiddies in Forrest Place (big gathering area in the heart of the city's main pedestrian malls and shopping area) and all.
Here I've been going through the super happy fun of spring cleaning! Bathrooms and floors and cleaning my rooms, oh my. At least the new cleaning stuff actually works on tiles. Still got a bit to do with my rooms, but I'm going to need more boxes for all the books and magazines. At least I've gotten rid of some old stuffand can see the rug next to the bed again ;).
Back to work tomorrow (took today off for the cleaning). Hmm, don't know if I'll feel so much like working. I should do what someone down the back did on Friday - rang up and said either give me the day off or I'm bringing sister's kids in anyway! I should just ring up and say "Give me the day off, or I'll... um... I'll bring the neighbour's cockatiels in! Beware the happy little yellow-and-grey cockatoos!" Mweh heh heh!
Ugh. Fly spray stinging eyes a bit, think I'll visit the other rooms for a bit...
