Leave a list of fictional characters in your journal that you would love to get a message from. It is your friend-list's mission, should they choose to accept it, to write you an in-character "letter" from a character on that list. Then they post their own list in their journal and the process continues!
-Shadowcat/Kitty Pryde (X-Men)
-Oracle/Barbara Gordon (Bat-titles)
-Xander Harris (Buffy)
-Susan Ivanova (Babylon 5)
-Bender Bending Rodriguez (Futurama)
-Lynda Day, with or without input from Spike Thompson (Press Gang)

An interesting piece in the paper today - apparently Perth is about to get its first Borders bookstore - one that's three times the size of Angus and Robertson's city store! Very happy to hear about big bookstore, hopefully with some range opening up! Especially if we're getting into what's currently Amazon-only territory. The funny thing is, Mum and I were talking last week or the week before, saying how A&R shouldn't have left their old site in Hay Street Mall East - and it would appear that Borders agree, their new store is (or will be, come May) right next door to the old site!
I managed to outnerd myself today. We've got a very decorations up for Australia Day in the office, and I was going to offer computer help and I noticed that this particular flag-and-stars thing was hanging low enough (well, to me, since I'm the tallest around) that I could touch the lower stars with my nose - or fit them in my mouth (well, hard to avoid since they were right over the way to get to those desks). Forward a few minutes and I realise - eating stars - tada, I am become Dark Phoenix! (I told you it was nerdy)
