Well now. Just thought I'd check with everyone - this is late-September isn't it? I mean, it isn't, say, June and everyone's been too polite to mention this to me?

Follow with me this little timeline.
Monday (Queen's Birthday holiday): Glorious sunny day, the kind even I can't complain about. Sun shining, big clusters of... yellowy-creamy flowers scenting the air, other wildflowers like kangaroo paw going strong. Big wattle trees, humming with bees (BEEESS!!), all round pleasant day to be out and about.

Tuesday (the very next day): Step out the door, it's raining slightly, but the wind gusts are driving
enough to collapse brolly inwards, driving the rain into me. The air is cold and scouring, like shoving an iceblock up into the back of my nose. Did I mention I caught a slight cold on Friday? Throat-tingle really, of little consequence. Until Tuesday.

So, I took today off - to sleep. That's been my main problem, getting to sleep over the weekend (didn't need any help last night though! Was out almost as soon as my head hit the pillow). So, the moral of our story is "don't try to work - the weather will change to get you!" It's almost October, it should be well and truly spring by now, instead, at least two more days of rain and wind.

And from all over: When you see this, post a quote from Firefly.
Mal: You know, you ain't quite right.
River: It's the popular theory.
Mal: Go on. Get in there. Give your brother a thrashing for messing up your plan.
River: He takes so much looking after.

More things going around )
