So, I took myself off to the local cinematorium today - I really need a new umbrella. Cold is quite a bit better than it was (even with wind trying undo the healing), and I'd been planning to take today off anyways - for today was the opening day of Serenity.

Spoilers? Oh yeah. Quiz? Oh yeah. )

Anyway, I enjoyed it. Thanks to bigger-name films taking up the two big-screens at my cinema (I was too busy being wet to notice which movies they were - probably Cinderalla Man and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory seeing how it's the holidays) we were relegated *dramatic sigh* to one of the smaller-screened rooms. Much narrower room and the armrests don't lift up - but when the film's actually going it doesn't quite seem such a small screen. I'd guess there were about 20-odd people there (mid-morning screening), laughing at the right places (although not sitting in the right places... my row! grrr) ;)

A random thought - they're advertising some reality show "become a princess" or some such on the telly, and there's a line about "being a royal has never been tougher!" I'm just thinking - has anyone checked this with Buckingham Palace? I'm seeing a long letter back from the Queen, outlining many generations of much tougher royal times...
