The time is come. The office become unworkinable while the builders do their thing. Day offJunket time!

Arose at some still-dark hour much earlier than normal, actually managed to shower, breakfast etc and get to bus stop some 30 minutes earlier than normal (and managed to miss the bus at that time). Got into city long before the 740 starts up, but managed to get a bus going down the Terrace, and walked the rest of it quite nicely for the *mini*bus with the others ("This is the bus? Where's the rest of it?!") Actually, I think I've got some pre-cognitive abilities - I predicted the bus would be the mini-me edition.

Thanks to the way the city's developed into corridors, although the Henley Brook/Caversham area is only as far north as Lockridge (which is mid-to-inner suburbs these days) and not quite as far east as Midland (pretty much a town in its own right at the edge of city/country depending on direction), but pretty much immediately past Guildford we get into the hobbyfarms and getting bigger and bigger properties on the way outwards - plus many vineyards too.

Anyway, we get there, pretty standard setup, all mixed into groups and sat at slightly too small tables to learn about thinking with de Bono's Six Thinking Hats. Pretty standard stuff, do this, imagine that. And be photographed. Funny how my mood can be affected by a camera. We were in a circle voicing first-thoughts on stuff, when I noticed Bossman lining up the shot. In mid-activity. Snarl, fold arms, since I can't get away. Luckily at lunch I could get away when two people brought the infernal boxes out. Had to watch out when doing so, though - the outdoor area was rather small, with very little space left for serving table while still having the eating tables actually on the paving. Yes, I jumped off onto the grass, toot sweet.

Lunch was tasty if short since we only had an hour for play (unless we just wanted to sit around drinking, but even if I wanted to do that, I could've just stayed home - play was the reason I made the effort to go). The game is called SupaGolf. It's a funner variation of golf or amatuers - smaller course (but not minigolf), with bigger clubs (didn't need those) and bigger colourful balls (oh yeah, needed that change - even then I was almost losing it). I did better than I thought (last time was with good players), although I have somewhat of a slice. If "somewhat" can be taken to mean "make the ball go right off the current fairway, down one hill, down the next, and almost roll down the next (and the one after, all the way down to the river). And yes, my best shots caused trees to jump out in front of the ball-in-flight. For those looking for danger, yes, we had danger too - at least one hit, and one almost-hit. C: "That's what you get for taking photos!"

Anyways, we didn't get to play even 9 holes - out of time. Back to more thinking exercises - drawing was fun, being made to wait for afternoon tea wasn't. Was joined for tea by a small flock of ringneck parrots landing in the cape lilac and going to work on the berries (if the halves they were dropping were any indication. Back to more thinking (planning the "house warming" for the new office. Ugh. I'm taking that day off, Bosslady, even if we don't have to dress up) and I get to show off my precognition again. I said to someone that we'd be given too much work for the time allotted...

Finally managed to get out a quarterhour late (since the bus had been waiting for a while). I know that Caversham is still suburban/semi rural, but coming back down that road, for some stretches it was like the last 10km or so driving into Beverley. Fields stretching away from the road, hills in the distance, the occasional house. Uncannily similar (despite these being different hills with houses on them).
