seandcAt the moment I'm listening to the Weddings Parties Anything album "They were better live" - they were Ann's favourite band (Aussie band, and she was from upstate New York), and today would have been her birthday.
Hooray, tis the weekend. I think the first order of business is sleeping until noon. The air flow or lack thereof at my desk make lit searches make me really really tired (especially if there's nothing to be found). That on top of spending yesterday playing under the desks with the cables after they replaced the high partitions (I can't hide anymore!). Had to connect computers up, "properly" place cables and powerpoints in their appointed places, and help others with their computer probs. Yay, dragging myself along the floor...
Or maybe not quite that late - got a few comics to read. The new Gotham Central trade paperback I was waiting for came out, as well as a Nightwing trade I picked up randomly; then they had another Nightwing and a Batgirl awaiting behind the counter that I'd back-ordered. Add in the usual comics, and some dipping into the back issues (and it's lucky I look at the prices - I almost bought a pair of New Mutants issues from 1984, only then I saw they were $20 each!
And for those times I need to get up before midday - can we have pre-dawn light all the time? Pretty please? Managed to get out a bit early on Thursday, and left home while half the sky was still dark - sooo much better to walk in semi-darkness/half-light.
GAH! Some kid skating down the footpath at 11pm - without the plants muffling the noise, it sounded like he was at the front screen door...
