Shameless self-promotion
Jun. 12th, 2005 11:11 pmYes, today I get even older  - didn't do much for the day, being Sunday and all - I'll go wandering shopping tomorrow, maybe find another secondhand bookstore with comics (as if they exist around here ;) - usually too small or too exclusive).
o/" I can see the flag fly / I can see the ra-ain...
Oh, and we officially have 'too much' rain! This June-so-far has been recorded as officially being the wettest start to winter for Perth in 71 years! Great for the dams, but not so good for local farmers whose crops are getting waterlogged.
*sends the rains to more drought-hit areas...*
At this rate I'll go from Swamp Thing to Aquaman
Soundbite theatre!
For once, those current-affairsy type shows are proving themselves useful, and I'm not ranting about imbalance. ;)
There was an ad for Monday's Today Tonight, about a story of Stupid Road-User Tricks! *insert appropriate music here*. The soundbite? That Perth drivers are even worse than Hobart drivers. I'm (pedestrian that I am ;)) choosing to interpret that as worst in the country - I knew there was a reason I don't trust drivers. Especially after Friday night when those idiots got their jollies from blocking off a crouded bus from the right exit.

Date: 2005-06-12 05:21 pm (UTC)Well, there seem to be several variations out there; but around here think of it as thick and rich. Pretty much two small slices at a time is all that can be done.
Madeira is the other way round - it's lighter, and part of me wants to connect it with orange, but that's probably just the icing - I haven't had it for a few years, though.
