Now that's expedited!
Aug. 23rd, 2005 11:42 pmGot quite the surprise when I got back from dolphin-watching (ok, work too) today. Outside my door - a box. An Amazon box. One that wasn't meant to show up until September 2nd. "No way!" Yep, definately here, definately mine, more than a week earlier than predicted (even with the day-earlier that happened before). "No. Way!" So, my copies of Finding Serenity and the Angel soundtrack are here, now. Now, this is my idea of expedited shipping! :D
I was going to pick up a copy of Planet Simpson today, but the only copy Dymocks had left was in rather poor condition for a new book. I didn't see a copy in A&R at all, nor in my local Collins, although that gets a free pass for being rather small.
A thought occurs to me - there's a contest being advertised on the telly - buy marked chocolates, SMS your entry. The prizes? Mobile phones. So, to enter, you need to have a mobile to win a mobile... yeah. (ok, people can SMS from payphones...)
So, I got the call today. My new computer is ready to be picked up. I'm going in tomorrow, decided to take the whole day off, instead of just the afternoon. I could do with the extra sleep. Spend a fair while re-loading everything, after spending the last few nights getting everything ready and burned to CDs - hence the tiredness.
