Back, jungle, back!
Oct. 30th, 2005 01:36 amA rather quietish week, just the same busy busy and teaching teaching. The teaching bit is over (until someone needs help with a computer or photocopier or laminator which is finally working). I could've stayed for karaoke on Friday, but decided comics were more important (plus the thought of being so loud as the microphone was? shudders).
Remember I posted last week about the early start of Christmas stuff in the shops? Well, that continues as more decorations go on sale. But that isn't what I was going to mention. It isn't just the shops. Even the *trees* are getting in on the early act! We have a kind of tree here called a WA Christmas Tree (Nuytsia floribunda) so called for the time of year it flowers, and the way the flowers light like decorations. And the first ones of the season are starting to flower.
The thing I spoke of in the locked post is being dealt with. Waiting for more news.
I actually got rid of some urban jungle today - I mowed the back yard! *is given baleful looks by passing tigers, monkeys and Tarzan* Oh for pity's sake. It's now short lawned and could even be used for a game of backyard... well, tennis, maybe. Not enough room for cricket.
The DVD collection continues to come along nicely (sometime soon I need to get another of those holder things. Still with the nostalgia kick, when the late 80s/early 90s comes to life with Press Gang seasons 3 and 4, and Married With Children season 1.
