Update to the yellow sky entry.
Jan. 4th, 2006 11:31 pmSo, today's West Australian had a picture of the city in orange on the front page today (guess it was too late for yesterday's edition):

It turns out it wasn't smoke, it explains inside, but rather:
"Weather Bureau spokesman Brad Santos said the eerie orange glow was caused by the setting sun hitting low-lying rain clouds approaching Perth from the east.
"We get our weather from the east only a fraction of the time and because there was a lot of cloud there to be lit up, it led to those ominous-looking skies," he said.
Sunlight hitting ice crystals in the clouds was reflected to create the peculiar light show." (Daniel Emerson and Jennifer Eliot, page 16).
There's a couple of posts by a couple of posters likewise in this land down under I'd reply to, but I really don't trust myself to answer them, if you get my drift...
In the meantime, a little colourful thing borrowed from

And a final thought: take one space mechanic, Kaylee Frye. Add one ghostbuster, Ray Stantz. What would happen if they got married? :D (and why do I get the feeling I'll be shelling out for the GB movie double-pack before long?...)
