Some random notes of the day
Oct. 20th, 2005 12:05 amLeach Highway Station - or rather, what will be Bullcreek Station (I still think of it as Leach Hwy Station) looks like giant sandpit at the moment, including toy cars and trucks and construction vehicles randomly scattered about as if by a giant kid.
The weather people are predicting a hotter summer than normal, with the possibility of it being Perth's Hottest. Summer. Ever. D'OH!
Christmas decorations - the first wave are now on sale at Coles! Mid October, and for the early-bird shoppers, there are now wrappings and tinsel and gift-baskets and chocolate-advent-calendars ready to buy... I think it might be slightly early for the calendars...
Also seen in Coles, these little toys using a slogan "Kids are cool" on the packs. I can just see slightly younger versions of Dick and Tim bickering on this line.
Is anyone feeling kind and have an extra AU$270ish? The Complete Calvin and Hobbes is in my local bookstore! :D I was just browsing the new releases quickly, and almost turned away when a picture of Hobbes caught my eye. I turned to see what it was on, and saw it was a big box. And then I realised - three thick hardbound volumes in a slipcase box - the lot! I didn't get it, but still... shiiiiiiiny!
