Thunderbolts and lightning!

seandcJust one of the little questions that need asking of the weather... why does it always storm in the evening? It's been years since we had a morning storm, these days it seems like everything's all fine during the day, but come evening... *rumble* Fill in those mornings, storms!
Bleh, just hot and sticky at the moment - humidity's shot way up the last few hours, so the temperature doesn't feel like it's changed at all...
At least the clouds seem to have quieted down for the moment - I switched off earlier the thunder was so omnipresent. Did spend a while looking at the clouds, watching the occasional bolt strike downwards, but I think the worst of it is going to skip over the city. Although it would've been nice to get a picture of some of those bolts. The birds sure are taking notice of the weather though - a large flock of honeyeaters was circling about not landing anywhere while I was outside.
And just to reassure a certain person in Adelaide ;) yes I have been leaving the house on the holiday weekend! :D Of course, that was going to the shops today... but at least I walked back through the bushland patch, so it's not like I'm going for the quickest way each way (hooray, some actual real-live shade!)
Just waiting for the chance to go pick up new comics on Wednesday (I could go tomorrow, but I'm not going to try Public Holiday transport on the first day of the post-Christmas sales...)
