Time isn't fast enough
Feb. 9th, 2005 10:48 pmWell, today was fun. Not. A lesson on why the only way to buy things is to go to a store and hand over cash. Finding the right words for covering letters. Back and forths with various places over what books we can or can't order from them, no matter what their website says. And then I found part of the problem is caused by our own department. Arrgh! *headdesk* I hate dealing with financial things anyway, and now this... I'm glad S is back, she can do all that from now on. Anyway, bad day, just all that stuff, the constant interruptions, and missing out the interesting part of the staff meeting. On top of my normal stuff (when I can get to it). If the contractors doing the rebuilding work manage to accidentally mess up my new phone hookup... *wonders how much stuff-up a slab buys...* I'm tired of being Reliable-Dog-Geyser-Person for front desk. They've only got three up there, one's away half the week training other sites, so when another takes some time off, it's left to me to be always ready to take calls/desk when the other person is off elsewhere. I go to check something on the shelf... oh, can't, since there's nobody on the other side. Perhaps start on the copyin... oh, phone, and it's me again...
Oh for Pete's sake... just clicked on to the Australian's website (got the guy who normally checks the hardcopy back, so didn't see this this morning). Yet *another* "the schools are indoctrinating students in radical left-wing anti-Howard, anti-American anti-sunshine-and-puppies agenda" piece. *headdesk* http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,5744,12190959%5E7583,00.html (I don't remember how to code links...) Remember kids - the slightest dissent is treason! And I wish we still got English in Australia so I could check out this eeeevil brainwashing for myself.
Today just got to me... roll on impulse-comic-buying-Friday...
I've only got one thing to say about this... Ni! :D (although I'd say I belong more in the future...)
Prankster, eh? *throws banana-cream-pies at everyone*
*taps the big "D" in name* now how do you suppose that happened? *blink* *blink* *sunfire*

You scored as Medieval Knight/Lady. You're too romantic for this age. You believe that the past was far more interesting and you easily get boored by people discussing mundane stuff. When you see someone being bullied you unconciously reach for your sword. Keep it up! Our age needs knights (and ladies)!

You scored as Clio. You are Clio, the muse of history. You love academic pursuits, but still know to have fun. You're a bit of a tease and a prankster.

And some DVDs...
And some chips to eat while watching...
