In which he buys stuff
Apr. 23rd, 2005 12:20 amIncluded were the soundtracks for Back to the Futures Two and Three (if you know where to look you can find the first soundtrack here, but not the others), the two post-DS9 CDs by James Darren, and one by Tony Head (and no, it's not the Sweet Transvestite single - I'd rather have a whole-show recording).
And today, I performed a great service to all of Australian fandom. I have ensured that the MacGyver DVD set will indeed get an Australian release (after March went by without a sign of it). I went to Empire and bought a Region 1 copy - that means they've *got* to start planning the Region 4 soon. ;) Worked for StarGate, worked for Firefly (ok, that one was just overlooking the too-be-released lists), Sliders has been listed....
Back to matters Amazon, one of their latest recommendations for me last time I saw was a book (or rather anthology) called "Four Letter Worlds" (because of a search for stuff by Amber Benson). I'd decided to add it to my list next time I order anything (I'd already ordered other stuff this week) but now I don't have to, the comic shop had it just arriving today! *opens up the bag* Which makes sense because it's a comic anthology. Nice little swag of back issues, to make most use of the long weekend. And next week, Captain Britain, in what I understand to be a precursor to the old Excalibur.
Sneak previewed by a bunch of other deities *eyes glow*
| Anubis Indeed, you are 66% erudite, 41% sensual, 50% martial, and 66% saturnine. |
| Anubis was the Egyptian God of funerary rituals and the protector of the dead as well as the judge of souls and ruler of the underworld. Since it was his duty to weigh souls (along with the Goddess Maat) as a means of discovering the content of honesty, Anubis was also the God of truth.
