And So He Begins...
Jun. 16th, 2005 10:58 pmOpening day of Batman Begins today (new movies come out on Thursdays here) - a couple of random thoughts:
Very good flick for the watching. I wonder how many of the "random" parts came from the comics ie stuff like Brucey casually buying up hotels.
Alfred - well, apart from the moustache, *is* comic-Alfred.
Jim Gordon - one of the few good cops in GCPD, I can so see this Sgt Gordon in the M.C.U. of the Gotham Central series (well, of course, Commissioner Gordon started the M.C.U... *wibbles at trying to mix comic-and movie-verses*)
Was Rachel's role originally Hush's Tommy Elliot as child-Bruce's best friend?
The Batmobile - ok, it looks very chunky in stills, but in motion is a whole other story.
Now, of course, fast forward a couple of years, for a certain ward and a certain niece's rooftop meeting :D
Afterwards silly me got it into my head to go looking for new trousers. Pardon me while I slap myself around the head.
Ow.
Either too small or too big, nothing my size. Just crowds crowds crowds GET OUT OF *MY* WAY FOR ONCE!! So glad I went to my normal cinema, less than ten people in the entire cinema, and this was one of the "CineMaxx" screens. Carousel also has a cinema (same company and all) but I'd hate to see how crowded, even at 10am.
Anyways, waste of journey, apart from picking up season 5 of Angel, finally out in the three-discs-in-one-case release, instead of six-cases-two-boxes bulky things (the only thing that's kept me waiting).

Date: 2005-06-18 12:02 pm (UTC)I know! ;) Avoiding shopping? Now I'm really scared ;)
My search is getting ridiculous - once again, what I found in my size was the wrong style or colour. At this rate I'll just have to go the next size up. I was planning to go to yet another store today, but took one look at the car park...
I only eat and drink dry bread and water now... :/
Well, hopefully the cupboard's a little bit fuller now, with a bigger variety of tastier things :D
