seandcWow, over a week since last update.
Haven't really felt like posting much either here or on TrekBBS - can't really think up much to say (yeah, yeah, what else is new?). Things going pretty much as normal.
Could've scored myself a mystery bag on the way to work today - fell off the back of a truck, literally! Victoria Ave? has a steep hill with lights halfway up, and the truck wasn't doing too well re-starting. Wasn't much to do but get it out of the way of the other cars and not manage to get the driver's attention.
Got really close to a pair of black cockatoos - was walking almost-underneath a bottle-brush tree (they flower at this time of year, large round hair-brush like red flowers) when I heard a flower drop. Looked up and WHEEE-AAAAAHHHH!! WHEEEEE-AAAAAHHHHHH!! (have I mentioned that these cockatoos are loud? They're loud.)
Some people can't switch off. I got an advertising spiel at the bus stop today from a rep for a new paintball place while he was waiting for his lift. Strange place to be advertising, since the stop isn't exactly in the CBD at that distance.
Have picked up Thud! - good case for looking things up online first, saved $15 by knowing to look in Angus & Robertson instead of Dymocks or Collins. Thanks to someone's influence, I'm now reading all the Willikins scenes as Alfred. And the telling of The Story, Ankh-Morpork style, made my mind move to a horrific place - babysitting by Nobby! :lol:
And since I haven't thought up anything more to say, have a few quizzes!
