Whoa. Up until... well, twenty minutes ago the light around here has just been a really wrong shade of yellow washing over everything. Smoke from up north mixed with what's meant to be incoming rain. Huh, a cloud passed over, and then the light went red for a few more minutes. Thankfully the sun's set now, everything just looked dull and wrong.
Guess it just made me think once more of all the happy fun tales of post-nuclear-war societies (eg - Children of the Dust) I read as a kid (sorry Rachel, you're not the only one who can be morbid and creepifying), what would the light look like in the first few weeks et al. Lucky me, I started reading these only a couple of months before Gulf War I began...
