Just thought I'd note here that I'm a legend. :D
Or so I'm told.
Figured I'd post it up just to remind myself not to be so hard on myself all the time. Had someone impressed with my MacGyver-of-the-information abilities in finding some stuff on the teaching of physical education. I just don't really think of it anymore, I was just finding articles same as normal, and yet here's someone practically squeeing over the finds - both online and on shelf (lucky classification there).
This week, I are mostly been processing the journals that just came back from the binders. Tis my own fault there were so many, but at least they're small enough to copy from. I've also been scaring people with the randomness of my brain! For instance, there's a couple of book clubs that leave stuff to be looked over. A set of small shiny stones went missing. My thoughts on where they went to C? Since they were heart-shaped stones, obviously someone's taken them to become some kind of Sailor Moon-esque transforming magical princess! I know, I've been reading
bad_rpers_suck too much, but it helps with the weirdness.
Was in a bit of a bingle this afternoon - I was on a CAT bus going along Wellington Street, just past the Raine Square stop. This stop is right outside a carpark. Just as we're pulling out, this black four-wheel-drive (so he's big, but not as big as a bus) tries to flip around the just starting-out bus (in other words, cutting across the lane in front of us), doesn't make the angle, and just as breezily as you please reversed, somehow missed the front of the bus, but just reversed into the front corner of another car (smaller than our friend), then just floated off into the carpark as if nothing had happened. Cue a spot of delay as the bus driver and the other driver conference for swapping of details and what-can-be-told before hunting down the 4WD. Sure, I could've gotten off the bus here, but I was looking to waste a little time anyways. Anyway - something somewhat distracting for a few minutes, thanks to someone's impatience.
A new use for the construction equipment at the new stations - giant perches! As in on the way out of the busport, I saw a couple of kookaburras on one of the 3-4 storey tall machines. And earlier a young wattlebird that was more interested in snacking from a grevillia instead of flying away like they normally do. The rest of the trip was spend devouring (for reading isn't a strong enough word) the new Batman annual, finally explaining the secret of Jason's survival.
Rachel - I'm afraid I succumbed when I saw them cheap, and bought the double-pack of Ghostbusters movies even though you said the cartoon episodes weren't the best. I'm despairing of ever seeing the cartoon dvds here.
And now, to try staying up until Justice League (reportedly) comes on. It's ok, I can stay up - long weekend! :D

Bad_rpers_suck, and scans_daily are both to blame for warping your mind. Oh, and me, of course. :D

Um, this may take some time...

Oh yes. And how! :D Even if I'd been relatively unwarped before, those two communities, especially together... ;)
Oh, and me, of course. :D
Natuarally  [Maxwell Smart voice] And loving it! :D

Date: 2006-03-03 06:47 pm (UTC)From what I understand, Citizen Ghost might be included on one of those DVD's. You'll have to check. If it is, you'll finally be able to see it again. :D

Oh, Justice League is always worth watching. Let me know which episode they showed.

Date: 2006-03-04 01:20 pm (UTC)Yes, it was. So good :D I even remembered it  The Meryl Streep line, the costumes coming to life (although I didn't remember them actually turning into the guys or looking so evil). Their voices! So chilling... and I must've just barely remembered under-the-surface as it were.
The other ep was from the Slimer and the Real Ghostbusters seasons, it was entertaining but nowhere near the other one. Better than I expected from the credits though - the opening credits had totally redone into overtly-cartoony art, but luckily the actual story was about the same.

I don't know! The channel dropped out just before it was time! One minute Letterman's on, then a burst of static and then nothing on that channel! D'oh! It's back to normal now, though, but somewhat too late for Justice League...

Date: 2006-03-04 10:22 pm (UTC)I know. Even after almost 20 years it's still a good episode. What I mostly remembered (before I got the DVD's from Ebay or downloaded the episode) was the demonic vapor coming from the eyes, nose, and mouth of each double.

I've heard about that one. Is it the one where the guys pour mood slime over Peter so that he can rescue Janine and Louis Tully? After it became Slimer and the Real Ghostbusters quality went downhill really fast.
(And Dave Coulier became the voice of Peter around season 2 or 3. Ick.)

Date: 2006-03-03 08:03 pm (UTC)So what's there to celebrate, some obscure Australian holiday that I don't know about? ;)
And if you ever need to be reminded about how fab you really are, you know where to find me. :D

Date: 2006-03-04 02:06 pm (UTC)Yes, indeed they do. :D
So what's there to celebrate, some obscure Australian holiday that I don't know about? ;)
Tis for Labour Day! The celebration of the workers, and the success of our past comrades in securing an eight-hour working day. Yes, even our anti-worker government realises that as much as they'd like to return us to Dickensian conditions, they mess with an Australian's public holiday at their peril!
And if you ever need to be reminded about how fab you really are, you know where to find me. :D
Aww thank you, Iliana :D
