So this guy comes round the office today - a local hair salon has new owners (as of yesterday), and the guy came around drumming up business with special discount packages (well, guess they're discount - what I overheard had me boggling at the cost - yay haircuts for $13 place). He had a good patter going (I could hear it from my desk, since the crowd was gathered right next to it), but all I could think? What would they think getting Shepherd Book's mane in there? :D
We have a student seeing if she wants to go into library studies with us for a couple of days. Natasha, if you read this, she reminds me of how you looked back when we first met - fairly similar at least. Today she got to learn shelving BWAHAHA! ;) (well, I haven't had time to shelve or process). Nah, we'll be good with assigning tasks. Probably.
Once and future Tech's big wedding sendoff morning tea really served to remind me why I don't join in morning teas. The conference room is just too small for group gatherings - I couldn't hear any of the speechifying from just a metre from the door. At least they used my suggestion to razz him slightly - the Married... With Children theme.

Re: Hello...
Date: 2005-07-10 08:31 am (UTC)Yes I hate the train station and you get weird people there too sometimes.
That's it for a while. I'll check back for your entertaining journal entries sometime this week.
By the way, do you like birds? I loath them.
Natasha.
Re: Hello...
Date: 2005-07-10 03:42 pm (UTC)I'm so glad that Geoffy has given us Southern types our own train stations to be mugged and beaten at, instead of getting a nice smooth run from the city in one jump.
And now I have to find something entertaining to write *eep*
And yeah, I like birds. They remind me in my darker moments that life goes on. I might be all brooding, and yet here they are, flying along and chirping, not a care in the world. :)
